When I got the MGC 5x5, I had high hopes as it was really good. It was fast, controllable and turned very good. The turning was muffled, in a good way, so its not very noisy. The stickerless shades are vibrant and good, for great recognition. The feel of the plastic was great that it felt really good and it got me attracted to it from day 1. The size is brilliant and it is great out of the box with no lubing or tensioning. It is very light, which is good. It is my current main and my current PB is 3:49.559. The magnet strength is good, resulting in great turning and brilliant solves, with no set up, so that is a plus. Here are the pros and cons according to me.
The cube is lightweight which is really impotant.
The cube is not very fast, which is not true for other people.
the plastic fells great in your hands.
The turning is smooth and effortless.
The noise is not loud and is more quiet from the turning, which is good because it won't disturb other people.
The tensions are great out of the box, which is one of the best things because you don't want to set it up because it will take far too much time.
I love every single thing about this cube, but there are very few cons.
There are few spring noises after few days, but it is alright.
It pops sometimes but it is not that big of an issue.
These are very small issues and are alright [if you ignore them].
This is my main and it is one of the best 5x5's in the world.
Whatever level you are, just get this!!!
If you are looking for a new 5x5 or it is your first, I highly recommend this and you can't go wrong with it.
This is a brilliant cube and this worth every single penny of your budget.
Whatever your budget is, JUST GET THIS!!!!!! I don't care what your budget is, get it. I mean it!!!!!!!!
This is the best!
