Mirror cube was invented by Hidetoshi Takeji in 2006. It was originally known as the bump cube due to its bumpy structure after being scrambled. It has been a part of official unofficial event rounds organised by the WCA.
It is also a shape shifter and it obtains a chaotic form on scrambling.
It has shiny stickers on its surface and has the same mechanism as a regular 3x3 speedcube, that is why it is also known as a 3x3 shape mod.
Why Mirror Cubes?
Mirror cube has lots of disfigured pieces which really test the general awareness of a cuber. One must know how to solve a 3x3 before solving a mirror cube. It takes a lot of patience and concentration to solve one and it is an ideal toy for the development of cognitive skills and concentration among kids!
